Happy St. Patricks Day!

This year on St. Patricks Day we decided to go out with some friends and the kiddos. We went to Shamrock and ate the buffet and pizza. We were all in our St. Pattys gear and had a blast. Here are our pictures from the fun evening.

Hockey Time

Breckon is in his third year of hockey and is so excited to move up to the next level this next year. Breckon wants to be a goalie and has Alex Stalocks (UMD goalie) warm up routine down. Here are some pictures from his last game and awards ceremony.

Cruise Time!

Okay, so where do I even start...We went a cruise with some of our good friends a few weeks ago and we had an absolute blast!! I would have to say that the week went by way to quickly but we were all ready to get home and see our kids by the end.On our way to the cities to catch our flight, we made a quick pitstop at Buffalo Wild Wings for a last minute snack and then ate lunch at one of Troy and my's favorite places, Maui Taco's. All I have to say is let the eating begin!!!
We flew out Friday early afternoon and arrive in L.A. at around 4. After taking a taxi to our hotel, we went out to dinner. Then next morning we went to breakfast at this little cafe called Polly's On the Pier. The food was delicious.
Then we took a taxi to the port, were we got onto our cruise. We decided to start the cruise out right and eat, then get in the hot tub. We spent alot of time in the hot tub this trip but it was very relaxing!!
The first day or two the weather was cooler then expected but that didn't stop us from laying out in the sun and doing lots of people watching.
Our first port was in Pueta Viarta Mexico, where we did a canopy tour. I would recommend this to anyone who hasn't done it. I thought I would be scared but it was nothing like I expected. The highest point was about 600 feet off the ground and you go speeds up to 40 MPH! The views were amazing. At the end of the canopy tour, we were able to see an exotic animals. Jon and I enjoyed the animals while Troy and Jo kept their distance.
After the canopy tour we found a beach and ate fish taco's, chips and lots of guacomole!!

Here are just some fun pictures from the cruise...
Deserts anyone??
Hang Ten (Nice shirts!!)
Yummmm...Escargot (I am willing to try anyting)
Next stop was Matazalon, Mexico. We took a short water taxi over to a beach and just enjoyed the weather and water. Even thought we were being talked to every 2 minutes by a mexican salesman ("Almost free" and "Better then Walmart"). After the beach we did some authentic mexican shopping. I didn't think I was grossed out so easily until we entered the meat market!! I don't think it was the sight of things as much as the smell that grossed me out!
Last stop was Cabo San Lucas, I would have to say this was my favorite stop. It is a new tourist area and was very beautiful. We took another water taxi to an island called Lovers Beach. There is nothing on this island except huge rock formations, sand, and beautiful water surrounding it!

Then it was time to start sailing back to our starting place. Once back in L.A. we had some time to waste before our flight home. So we rented a car and did some sight seeing. We even ate a the World Famous Pinks Hot Dogs....the hot dogs were great.

Audrah the Princess!

Okay, so I know this is a short post but I couldn't help but post this adorable picture of Audi. Audrah has really been getting into princess stuff. As you can see in this picture, she has on a princess hat, princess pajamas, a princess sippy cup, princess slippers, and she is riding her princess four wheeler. What more can I say, she is our little princess!

Breckon's 6th Birthday!

So Breckon finally turned six on January 9th. I can't believe how big he is getting, six just seems so old to me. It really is true when people say you blink and they are older.
This year we decided to have a small family party as Breckon was going to have a friend party too. We had his family party on his actual birthday. As you can see he really loves his cousin Mimi (Morgan)!
He received some really great gifts but his favorite was an autographed Alex Stalock (UMD bulldogs) goalie stick.

It took him a few tries, but he finally blew out the candle! And don't worry, Breckon did get a piece of his cake this year!

When I asked Breckon what friends from his class he wanted to invite to his party, he told me that he wanted to invite everyone because he was friends with everyone!! I couldn't argue with that so we invited 20 kids from Breckon's class over to our house for his friend birthday. We only had 12 RSVP but it was sure a houseful, I wouldn't be able to image if one more would have came or if we didn't have the extra help (Thanks Papa & Nana!!).

The party started out by playing the dice game and then we ate lunch. Papa provided the entertainement by hiring a magician to come, which the kids thought was great. I have to say, I was even amazed by some of his tricks. The magic show was about 30 minutes. After the show, the magician made balloon animals for the kids!

The kids then sang "Happy Birthday", ate cake, and watched Breckon open presents. All in all the party went great and all the kids were very well behaved!

Christmas

I know it has been a while since we last posted and still have lots of updating to do so here is some pictures and reading for your enjoyment from the Christmas season. Troy and I enjoyed being off of school for winter break and not having any commitments to homework.
The Christmas program at church (which I was able to help out with) turned out pretty good. Breckon even had his own line, which he did a great job!

Christmas eve was spent out at our house with my sisters and their families. We all made Christmas dinner and were suprised with ourselves that it turned out so good! After an evening of eating, Tanner reciting the Christmas story (from memory), and opening presents, everyone spent the night.

Audrah really enjoyed having her cousins around and dancing to the sound of the adults playing American Idol on the Wii!

In the morning we all pitched in to make breakfast and then we were all off to more family get togethers! We continue to make wonderful Christmas memories and always remember the real reason for Christmas!
